A New Beginning

Pucks and Films would like to announce that we are currently working on expanding our style to more than just hockey but all sports by producing a sports podcast. We will be discussing current events and sporting events from hockey, football, baseball & even golf. We are excited for this joint venture that will introduce two twitter handles @PUCKSANDFILMS & @HighOctaneJules

Be sure to follow our blog posts on El Puckster and also on Loco T.V/Movie Guide because sports entertainment is only the beginning as we will also be discussing the entertainment industry dealing with television shows, movies and trends that we see in the industry.

Goalie Tryout Rob Madore Impresses at Panthers’ Rookie Tournament

Could there be possible diamond in the rough to help solve the goaltending issues the Florida Panthers are having with a shaky number one future goaltender and an injured “ok” veteran. Panthers fans can only hope!

With the sting of Friday’s 8-4 loss to the Nashville Predators still in the back of their minds, the Florida Panthers once again found themselves playing from behind against the Boston Bruins in Friday’s installment of the team’s annual rookie tournament. After going down 4-0 early in the first period of Saturday’s game, the Panthers once again looked as if they may fall victim to yet another blowout in front of their home fans. After the first intermission gave the Panthers time to “get angry” as center Nick Bjugstad stated, the team decided to pull goaltender Michael Houser midway through the 2nd period in favor of a mostly unknown tryout by the name of Rob Madore.

From that point on the game had a completely different feel. Madore stood on his head for the remainder of the game, stopping all 18 shots he faced, including several sprawling saves. In front…
